FAQ About Stow Acres Country Club

Are you a public or private golf course?We are a public 36 hole course with a driving range and a counter service grill room that serves great breakfast sandwiches in the morning and wonderful meal options the rest of the day. We also have a Golf School! We do have a number of membership options but we welcome anyone to play and enjoy our beautiful property.

Are you an 18 or 36-hole golf course?We have 2 wonderful 18 hole courses - The North Course and the South Course.

What is the difference between the North and South Course?We have 2 great par 72 golf courses here at Stow Acres. The North is slightly longer and flatter than the South Course.

Are there bathrooms or water coolers on the course?There are portable bathrooms on the course from lat April until late October. There are no water coolers on the course.

Does a beverage cart go out on the course?A beverage course does go out on the course but ask any staff member to see if there will be one going out when you golf.

Do I need to bring my own golf clubs?You can bring your own golf clubs. If you do not own a pair of clubs, you can rent them at the Pro Shop. We have left and right handed rental clubs.

Can I join a league?You can! Stow Acres runs an in house Monday Night League. We also host many outside groups. If you have a league that is interested in playing at Stow Acres reach out to Dave at dcarlson@stowacres.com.

What is your dress code?We require soft spikes in your golf shoes. Please wear a golf shirt and no jeans please.

Can I bring my personal cooler?No - We have a Grill room where you can purchase food and drinks.

Do you have Military or Senior discounts?Absolutely yes, we have great discounts for Seniors and Military (active or retired) on Monday through Friday.

How far in-advance can I book my tee-time?Tee times can be booked up to 10 days in Advance. If you have a large group you can contact our outing office to prepay and book earlier than 10 days out.

How do I book a tee-time?Tee times can be booked through our website (www.stowacres.com), or by calling the Pro shop (978-568-1100)

Are tee-time's required or can I walk-in without one?We always will try to accomodate walk-ins however a tee time is recommended.

What happens if I am late and miss my tee-time?If you know you are going to be late please call the golf shop and we will attempt to reschedule you to the next available open time.

Can I play alone or will I be paired with another group?There are many times during the week that you may be able to play alone but during our busiest times you will be paired into groups of 4.

How old do I have to be to drive a golf/riding cart?It is a Massachusetts law that the driver must have a valid driver's license.

Am I required to book a golf/riding cart or can I walk?The only time a cart is mandatory at Stow Acres is on Saturday and Sunday from open to Noon on the North Course.
